青森県出身。2003年よりロンドンにて“Chika Sato”に師事し、2008年の帰国後に本格的にスタイリストとしてのキャリアをスタート。VOGUE、Harper’s BAZAARをはじめとする名だたるモード誌にて、写真家レスリー・キーやTAKUYA UCHIYAMAらと数々のファッションエディトリアルを手がける。The Weekndの「Belong To The World」では衣装デザイン全般を担当し、アーティストの世界観をファッションで表現。さらに、American Express、SONY Xperia、PEUGEOT、MINI、SHU UEMURAなどのTVCMや広告キャンペーンにおいても幅広いスタイリングを展開。エッジーな感性を軸に、メンズ・レディース問わず鋭く洗練されたスタイルを創出する。現在はOVE magazineの代表として、常に新たな挑戦と独自のビジョンでファッション表現の可能性を広げ続けている。

Originally from Aomori, Japan, Kosei Matsuda began his career in London in 2003 under the mentorship of Chika Sato. After returning to Japan in 2008, he launched his professional path as a stylist. He has contributed to numerous high-profile fashion editorials for leading publications such as VOGUE and Harper’s BAZAAR, collaborating with renowned photographers including Leslie Kee and Takuya Uchiyama.
Matsuda was also responsible for the full costume design of The Weeknd’s music video Belong To The World, translating sound and vision into a compelling fashion narrative. His commercial work includes styling for major brands such as American Express, SONY Xperia, PEUGEOT, MINI, and SHU UEMURA, showcasing his ability to merge conceptual elegance with mass appeal.
With an edgy sensibility and a sharp, refined aesthetic across both menswear and womenswear, Matsuda continues to redefine visual storytelling. As the current director of OVE magazine, he remains committed to pushing creative boundaries and exploring new dimensions of fashion expression.
